Graduate Processional Procedures

Doors open at 5:30pm. Graduates should arrive at Gate 2, located on the south side of Cable Dahmer Arena, no later than 6pm on Wednesday, May 22nd, bringing with them their cap, gown, and tassel.

  • Purses, bags or extra items are not allowed in the venue or into the ceremony.
  • Once inside Gate 2, each senior needs to pick up their issued name card showing his/her name. There will be four tables where the name cards will be issued to students. Graduates will get their card based on the last name of their advisory teacher. ** Seniors must see Mr. Good or Mrs. Krinke at Senior Check out to verify name pronunciation.
  • Seniors will stand with their advisory group behind the stage inside Cable Dahmer Arena until they are notified to line up to begin the graduation ceremony.
  • The processional will begin at 7:00pm and graduates will walk in a single file line along each side of the floor. Graduates will circle to the middle aisle walking single file to where they will remain for the ceremony.
  • Following the processional, the seniors will remain standing and be seated by the first student speaker.
  • Following the presentation of the class by Dr. Maid, seniors will stand by row and proceed to the stage. Then students will cross the stage and receive a diploma cover as their names are read from the cards. GRADUATES MUST HAVE THEIR NAME CARD AND BE WITH THEIR ADVISOR IN ORDER TO CROSS THE STAGE.
  • After all diploma covers have been presented, seniors will rise for the affirmation and moving of the tassels (left to right). The seniors will then recess out of the arena through Gate 1 from back to front rows directly out of the arena. Seniors may pick up diplomas at the designated area directly behind the stage after the graduation ceremony. Diplomas that are not picked up on the evening of graduation will be available for pick up after school hours beginning on May 23rd.
