Tickets

See the information below to find out how to receive your tickets

Residential parents/guardians receive 9 tickets, and non-residential parents/guardians receive 2 tickets. All seating is general admission and first come, first served once inside the venue. Graduation announcements ordered through Jostens are NOT tickets to the graduation ceremony. Additional tickets will not be provided through the school. In the past, many of our families have networked with other families to find extra tickets. Social media has been communicated by former parents as a good tool for this.

Tickets may not be picked up until all the following have been met:

Student Obligations:

  • -Pass all necessary classes
  • -All fines have been paid/cleared
  • -All detentions have been served
  • -CPR training has been completed
  • -US Exam, MO Exam, and Civics exams have been passed
  • -All community service hours have been completed, turned in, and approved by Rebecca Steele
  • -Complete the online Senior exit survey
  • --Attend a senior graduation meeting
  • -All seniors must be on track academically to pass all courses for the required graduation credits

Printed tickets will first be available for pickup from 3-7 pm on April 22nd in the front office at Lee’s Summit North. Following this time, they will be available during normal business/school hours (7:30 am-3:00 pm Monday-Friday) from April 23rd through May 20th. Tickets will only be available on May 21st from 7:25 am-12 pm. Graduates cannot pick up tickets themselves; only a parent or guardian can do so. Please bring your Driver's License when picking up your tickets.

We will not have digital ticket options this year. Your tickets are guaranteed, so getting here right at 3 pm on April 22nd is not necessary. Feel free to wait until later to avoid long lines. Graduation seating is general admission, so all tickets being handed out are the same general admission ticket.

Each residential parent/guardian will have access to nine graduation tickets at pickup, and each non-residential parent/guardian will have access to two tickets. No ‘extra’ tickets will be available for pickup, and only parents/guardians can pick up tickets.

Tickets will be taken at the door to gain entrance to the Graduation Ceremony. Each graduate will get a commemorative ticket in their diploma packet as well.

Graduation Night

When: Wednesday, May 21st @ 7:00 PM. Doors open at 5:30pm. Graduates should arrive at Cable Dahmer no later than 6:15 p.m.

Where: Cable Dahmer Arena, 19100 East Valley View Parkway Independence MO
** Graduates should enter at GATE 2 (south enterance)
**Guests should enter at GATE 1 (east entrance)

Graduate Processional/Ceremony procedures: Seniors will enter Cable Dahmer Arena through Gate 2, at the south entrance, by 6:15 p.m. We encourage students not to bring items with them. There will be no area for graduates to leave their belongings. Seniors will be responsible for carrying anything they bring with them for the entire duration of the ceremony. Upon arrival, each senior will find their senior mentor. Seniors with the last name A-K will stay near Gate 2 and find their mentor. Seniors with the last name L-Z will walk behind the stage to the north side and find their mentor there. Every senior will check in with their mentor and be issued a card with their name typed on it to be read during the ceremony. Just before the processional, graduates will form two lines based on their mentor teacher. The first line, last names beginning A-K, will process along the south side of the arena (approximately sections 103-110). The second line, last names beginning L-Z, will process along the north side of the arena (approximately sections 118-111).

To the Graduate: When you move with your mentor group toward the stage for the reading of names, as you approach the stage, you will get your picture taken by a photographer (Pearce Photography, see below for ordering information). A staff member will be there to assist you and to make this quick and efficient. After the picture and once it is your turn, you will walk up a few steps and hand your name card to the faculty member at the podium at the side of the stage. After your name is read, proceed to the center of the stage, shake the hand of the Board of Education member, and receive your diploma cover. Once you receive your diploma cover, exit the stage down the center steps and follow the leader back to your same seat. After the last graduate’s name is read, Mr. Clover will lead you in the cap toss from your seats. After the cap toss, your mentor will lead you to pick up your diploma behind the stage or in the foyer by gate 2. You will immediately exit the arena to meet your guests in the parking lot after picking up your diploma.

Dress for graduates - To participate in the ceremony, make sure your dress is appropriate as follows: Graduation gowns should be removed from packaging as soon as possible. If needed, they can be pressed/steamed, but use caution. Caps should be worn straight with tassels on the right side. Caps should also be original design from the manufacturer and not decorated in any custom way. If they are decorated they will be confiscated. A reminder that personal items cannot be stored in the facility during the ceremony. You must carry everything you bring with you throughout the ceremony.

Accessibility and ADA Seating: Accessible seating is available on the lower level, located between sections 106 and 107. Patrons needing accessible seating may enter Cable Dahmer Arena at the South or East entrance for access. There are two elevators available to handicapped patrons to provide access between levels. They are located in the concourse behind sections 103 and 112 on the Main Concourse level (just to the right of the main entrance).

Diplomas: Students will pick up their diplomas immediately after the graduation ceremony. Students choosing not to participate in graduation or students who do not pick up their diploma after the ceremony can pick up their diploma beginning on May 23 in the front office at Lee’s Summit North, Monday-Friday, 7:25-3:00 pm. Pictures: On the night of graduation, Pearce Photo will take pictures of each senior receiving their diploma, as well as a group photo of seniors throwing their graduation caps in the air immediately following the ceremony. All orders may be submitted directly to Pearce Photo either online at http://pearcephoto.hhimagehost.com/24LSNGraduation or by calling Pearce Photo at 816-331-8586. You may preorder now.
